Biotch

As I have had a personal experience with the Secret Service, I know that this happens more often than many people know.

Trippi’s partner speaks up: “Any reading material? Papers?” I don’t think so. Then Trippi decides to level with me: “I’ll tell you what, Marc. Someone in the shop that day saw you reading something, and thought it looked suspicious enough to call us about. So that’s why we’re here, just checking it out. Like I said, there’s no problem. We’d just like to get to the bottom of this. Now if we can’t, then you may have a problem. And you don’t want that.”

And if that isn’t bad enough, get a load of this:

Special Agent Joe Parris, Atlanta field office spokesman, stressed that specific FBI investigations are confidential. He wouldn’t confirm or deny the Schultz interview.

“In this post-911 era, it is the absolute responsibility of the FBI to follow through on any tips of potential terrorist activity,” Parris says. “Are people going to take exception and be inconvenienced by this at times? Oh, yeah. … A certain amount of convenience is going to be offset by an increase in security.”

{May 30, 2006}   It’s All Downhill Now…

Okay, this is the third time I’m going to attempt to write this post, and then I’m giving up…

I was on one of my favorite news sites when I spied this story. “My husband is not a terrorist. He’s not an ex-convict, a felon or on the lam, and if you don’t count the occasional Post-it notes or paper clips that come home with him from the office, he’s not even a petty thief. But so far, he’s had trouble convincing the government of this.”

Not surprising, but now I was interested. I mean, you hear about these kinds of things all the time, but it’s different when you can put a name to the person who is being violated.

And then, towards the end of the article like a horrible laugh at the end of a great joke, there was this trainwreck: “We’re not sure whether there’s any recourse now, nor are we sure we shouldn’t simply suck up the inevitable delay as part of our patriotic duty in supporting our country’s war against terror.”

What, are you fucking kidding me?? “suck up the inevitable delay as part of our patriotic duty”

I don’t know if I want to beat the shit out of her or throw a history book in her face. Doesn’t anyone remember Nazi Germany? What is wrong with people, that they would just roll over and allow someone to suck the life away from their rights and what this country stands for? Doesn’t anyone see what lies ahead for us if the government is allowed to continue this absolute mis-use of power?

These people aren’t sheep. Sheep at least have the gumption to run away from the wolf when it creeps ever closer.

These people are fucking lemmings.
